Vacation turned sad
Question: While our intention for this vacation was to attend a college graduation, visit some ailing elderly family members and see friends and family, we were unprepared for a funeral. Upon arriving at the airport, we drove immediately to the hospital to visit with my aunt. She was alert and funny. It was a great visit and I was so glad to see her and spend some time together. She had not been well for the past year, but she was a fiesty 78 year old woman. Two days later, the family called us to let us know she had passed away. My uncle was devastated. His bride of 57 years was gone. She was his life and now he would face the rest of his days alone. As I visited with him, I was reminded of how fast we live our lives and how we need to take time to smell the coffee. Answer: Sorry Connie. Answer: Good luck trying to tell the baby boomers that. The worst generation of all time(so far). Answer: How true and how sad. Just like when Alan Brock, the Pastor for Calavry Baptist here in town, left to make his usual round of visits to people in the hospital in Kansas City. He got just outside of town and was scar head and almost died. We just never know when we will be called home. PK Answer: Connie My most heart felt condolences to you and your family. Think of her often and remember her wit and smiles. Answer: Best wishes to you and your family at your time of loss. While it may mean little now at least you did get to see her one last time before the end came. Please try to take some small comfort in that. Answer: Connie~ I am so very sorry for your loss. Let time be your friend and your healer. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Answer: Connie, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and warmest sympathies. Your having been able to visit your Aunt shortly before will surely remain one of your fondest memories of her. Answer: Sorry. Answer: Sorry for your loss. M and Betsy Answer: Sorry for your loss, God Bless you and yours. Answer: Thanks everyone for your condolences. I will always treasure my memories of this great lady. Her spirit will be with us and that is a great comfort. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.cartaste.com
