Seems to be that those cracker box sleepers are back on the Pete's. It may look cool, but I want mine built for comfort. I want as much room and storage as possible.

Answer:

I agree with you PK, i figure those guys with the 48inch flat tops must have a regular gig and get by the house alot. But those long wheel base petes or kw's with flat tops are definitley the coolest looking cars on the road.
The stand up unibilts and aero sleepers are cool too but just don't look as cool as the plain old flat top. Looking cool isn't comfortable right...tattoos hurt...piercings don't feel good...those tight as hell hip hugger jeans the girls are wearing can't be comfortable...thongs...high heels...ape hanger handle bars...stretched out rigid choppers...an old Porsche...none of them too comfortable but damnit, they look COOL!

Answer:

I second that
As for the cabover, thats about one of the best looking ones I have seen in a very long time. Too bad I'm not the biggest coe fan around.
Check out those spinners on the wheels. WTI is offering them now, definatly not what I'd call cheap.

Answer:

Saw a nicely restored mid 80's Pete 379 Conventional the other day and the guy had them switch to a 36" bunk from a 60" during the restoration.
He runs Florida up to Canada and said it looks KOOOOOOOOOOL that way.

Answer:

I guess I'll never look cool because I want comfort!!!
PK

Answer:

It is owned by The Company that I work for,
Was talking to Galen before I went down and met with Chili and Rooster C, and we got to measuring that S T R E A C H E D COE and it came in at 11" longer from the Pin Hole in the fith wheel to the front bumper than the same points on a 379 Longnose Pete, It is a Beautiful car, and pretty unique with the "little touches" he has added to it, i kinda like the grille on the back of the bunk below the "split windows" because when you look real hard you notice the train horns mounted behind it.
It is kind of a "retro" deal, in that it goes back to some of the things that started this company. The owner used to do refurbishing of cars to put in the fleet, and for other customers.(Thats why there is a Class Act Body Shop, and an excellent Trailer Shop he owns)
If you have sometime and are bored go to the website and browse around about the past of this Company and the Owner, its a real neat story how he got to where this place is today, and why.
As far as the price on them $1500 was what I was quoted "installed" for my Company ride (I offered to "model" a set for him on the WideBase Rims )

Answer:
