Answer:

1) Which holiday is your favorite?
I love all of them, but I guess Christmas since even the mean folks get nice for a few days. Well except the ones that fight you for the parking spot in the mall. And lots of goodies at work at every desk.
2) What do you serve for your Thanksgiving meal?
Traditional Afro American meal; turkey and stuffing, candy sweet potatoes, sweet potato pie, homemade rolls, baked macaroni and cheese, ham, collard greens, turnip greens, kale or mustard greens, and four or five side dishes, depending on who's house you are at
3) Do you have any holiday traditions?
It used to be traveling from my house to DC, sometimes in a caravan of many cars, depending on which town was hosting the dinner. Lately it's been FL to be with the inlaws. And taking older folks to do Christmas shopping, andwhere from DE, MD, PA or NJ, getting them out for the day and having fun.
4) How much do you decorate inside/outside for Christmas? Some years we even decorate the toilet. Lot's of tacky stuff that we've bought from flea markets, dollar stores and a some stuff I have from my relatives from the 40's even. Even my ghetto menorah (sp?).
5) Do you go to any neat places or light displays over the holidays? Would like to get to Bethelehem Pa soon or South Philly.
6) Are you planning to spend more or less this Christmas? Less. Maybe more next year.

Answer:

My favorite holiday is Christmas.
For Thanksgiving dinner we are having Turkey, Cornbread dressing with LOTS of cranberry sauce, baby lima beans, sweet potatoe casserole, turnips with LOTS of hot sauce, home made yeast rolls, pumpkin pie, and fourteen layer chocolate cake.
Our holiday traditions are hunting and putting up the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day.
We decorate inside the house a lot, and very little outside the house.
We go to Wild Adventures in Valdosta for the festival of lights display and there are several homes in our area who go all out on lighting up the world with Christmas lights.
We are planning to spend more. We raised our nephews and neice when their mother died and we have four children of our own (8 in all) Of the eight, three are married with children and one is married. Four are single but two have boyfriends who have been around for a long time. Our family is growing by leaps and bounds.
My favorite Christmas songs are Silent night, Joy to the world, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, and the duet Alan Jackson sings with what's her name... all the creatures gathered round and didn't make a sound and the angel's cried....can't remember the name of the song either!!LOL!
No snow here, we're in South Ga.
Good character is doing the right thing when nobody is looking.

Answer:

1) Which holiday is your favorite?
My birthday! Wait! They haven't made that into a national holiday yet!
2) What do you serve for your Thanksgiving meal?
I opted for the precooked turkey dinner w/trimmings that my supermarket deli sold. I am not a world class cook.$30 bucks and it was all done for me
3) Do you have any holiday traditions?
If you count seeing how many peices of leftover yams we could stuff in Uncle Henry's hat a tradition, then yep we did!
4) How much do you decorate inside/outside for Christmas?
I have neices and nephews that I can bribe/threaten to decorate inside and out. The problem being is when it's time to undecorate, the bribe of leftover turkey doesn't work.
5) Do you go to any neat places or light displays over the holidays?
I go watch them put up the BIG xmas tree downtown, cuz it's fun to watch it fall over about 6 times before someone realizes they forgot the tie down ropes, yet again!
6) Are you planning to spend more or less this Christmas?
Less,I have lots of leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and I can make lovely door stops when the turkey hardens up.
7) Whats your favorite Christmas song(s) ?
I play all my Halloween favorites like Purple People Eater and Monster Mash!
8) Anybody had any snow yet this year?
We have had snow, lost it,snow again and lost it again, I hear next we might get snow and lose it and get puppies! Cool huh?!?
